Dr. Jared Duncan
Dr. Duncan is a board-certified, fellowship trained pediatric ophthalmologist. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus. His practice incorporates the treatment of all aspect of children’s eye care needs, including refractive errors, retinopathy of prematurity, uveitis, glaucoma, tear duct obstructions, amblyopia, strabismus, and pediatric cataracts. In addition he treats adult patients who have double vision and strabismus. He has been published in several prominent ophthalmology journals and co-authored textbook chapters. His research focused on retinopathy of prematurity and the use of optical coherence tomography (OCT) in children.
Dr. Duncan completed a highly competitive, two year fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus at Duke Eye Center in Durham, North Carolina. He completed his residency in ophthalmology at Nassau University Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident. He received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia and his undergraduate degree from Colgate University.
Dr. Duncan performs surgery at the Surgical Center of Greater Annapolis and Anne Arundel Medical Center.
His interests include spending time with his wife Jessica and his three children, Wyatt, Gwendolyn, and Penelope. He is an avid runner, loves to cook, and enjoys rooting on his Philadelphia sports teams.
